日本无码听was born of a belief that everyone in Canada wants and deserves excellent healthcare.听From our vantage points, which span the country and听the continuum of care, it鈥檚 clear that despite the tireless commitment of people working in health systems,听we still have work to do to shape a future where everyone in Canada has safe and high-quality healthcare.听Unintended harm in the health sector is a leading cause of death in Canada, and there are gaps in patient experience and outcomes, care team well-being, and value.听
Today听we鈥檙e launching our听strategy for 2021-26 鈥� to help us get closer to where we want to be.鈥疶his is one of many milestones worth celebrating in our first year as a new organization.听Our strategy journey began听over听a year ago.听In a time when we were unable to听meet face-to-face, we听found a way听to听meaningfully engage听with听over 1,100听people across the country听about what excellence in healthcare means to them,鈥痶he issues that matter鈥痬ost鈥痑nd how we can听help.鈥�To everyone who contributed, we want to say thanks; through a global pandemic, you made the time to help us set a course for this new organization and quality and safety across Canada.听听
The strategy听we听developed from this engagement sets us up听well for success.听It鈥檚听ambitious in purpose but focused鈥痠n听scope,鈥痶ackling some of our most pressing challenges鈥�� improving care of older people, care closer to home,听and听acting on听lessons learned as we move through the pandemic to create more resilience in our system.听
The pandemic has highlighted and enhanced pre-existing gaps and inequalities in our healthcare system.听Yet it has also demonstrated how innovation can take tremendous leaps听forward听鈥� whether in virtual care, vaccination听or听COVID-19 outbreaks in long-term care听-听the focus of听our听LTC+: Acting on Pandemic Learning Together program.听Working together鈥痺ith听partners,听this strategy will help us听deliver lasting improvement in patient safety and experience, work-life of healthcare providers, value for money, and the health of everyone in Canada.鈥�听
We鈥檙e excited to鈥痺ork鈥痺ith people across the country鈥痶o spread innovations, build capabilities and catalyze policy change鈥痶o support large-scale system improvement.鈥�And as members of the Board,听we鈥檙e听looking forward to鈥痺orking听towards these aims with all of you,听and听our five new Board directors.听
